Solution 10 – Lysis buffer is an acidic aqueous solution of surfactant and organic acid. The solution’s pH value is in the range of 2.00 – 3.00. Solution 10 – Lysis buffer is used for preparation of nuclei from animal cell cultures, detaching adherent cell lines, and disaggregating cell clusters.
Solution 10 – Lysis buffer permeabilizes the plasma membrane, allowing homogenous staining of the nucleus by DNA-binding dyes such as DAPI. Please refer to the specific Application Notes for detailed instructions.
