Solution 7 – JC-1 is a staining reagent containing JC-1. It is used to measure the mitochondrial transmembrane potential; Disruption thereof is often associated with early stages of apoptosis.
Solution 7 – JC-1 displays potential-dependent accumulation in the mitochondria and provides a simple, fluorescent-based method to distinguish between healthy and apoptotic cells. Solution 7 – JC-1 is used in conjunction with Solution 8. Please refer to the specific Application Notes for detailed instructions.
